THE POSITION:

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead our digital product initiatives and drive innovation across our e-commerce platform. This role combines strategic product thinking with hands-on execution, perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, small team environment where your impact is immediately visible.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Product Strategy & Leadership

  • Support VP of Technology in strategic planning for site experience and tech stack optimization 

  • Lead sprint planning processes, including work prioritization, capacity planning, and stakeholder alignment

  • Analyze conversion data and customer feedback to identify product enhancement opportunities

  • Drive product decisions that directly impact customer experience and business KPIs

Technical Product Management

  • Write detailed requirements and user stories for development teams and external vendors

  • Manage end-to-end product development lifecycle from conception to launch

  • Oversee quality assurance processes and create comprehensive testing protocols

  • Collaborate with freelance developers and external partners on technical implementations

Process Innovation & Automation

  • Design and implement automated workflows to streamline internal website operations

  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology for operational efficiency gains

  • Build and maintain automated systems for product setup, promotions, and content management

  • Create scalable processes that reduce manual work and improve accuracy

Project & Vendor Management

  • Lead complex technical projects with multiple stakeholders and vendors

  • Set clear expectations with external partners and manage project timelines and budgets

  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks

  • Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining ownership of outcomes

  • Occasional availability during evenings, weekends and holidays for key product & promotional launches

Customer Experience Enhancement

  • Research and evaluate new technologies to improve customer experience (chatbots, site features, etc.)

  • Optimize product detail pages and site functionality based on performance data

  • Manage product launches and promotional campaigns from setup through execution


WHO YOU ARE:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 6+ years of product management experience, preferably in e-commerce or consumer brands

  • Proven track record of leading technical projects and working with development teams

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (Shopify preferred) and understanding of digital retail operations

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to use data to drive product decisions

  • Excellent project management skills with experience managing external vendors

  • Ability to move seamlessly between strategic thinking to execution with high attention to detail

  • Experience with GSuite, Excel & MS Office Suite, along with general technical aptitude for systems and hardware

  • Experience with Netsuite and/or Celigo or similar software preferred

Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency in automation tools, workflow optimization, and/or script writing (preferred)

  • Understanding of web technologies, APIs, and system integrations

  • Experience with requirements gathering and user story writing

  • Basic knowledge of QA processes and testing methodologies

  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in business operations (preferred)

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills

  • Ability to influence and align stakeholders without direct authority

  • Strong problem-solving mindset with focus on continuous improvement

  • Self-directed learner who stays current with industry trends and best practices
