Remix Part 1: Mix Up That Cocktail and Make Some Music

One of the classic drinks that turn an average BBQ into a summer soirée, a dinner party into a house party and hump day into Friday night is the daiquiri. The star of the traditional daiquiri is fresh lime. But with the abundance of summer produce, you've got to mix it up! Try these fun combos and remix your summer. While you're at it, turn up the tunes with our latest Spotify playlist—Remix Your Summer:

Traditional Daiquiri

Ingredients:

- 1 1/2 oz White Rum

- 1/2 oz Simple Syrup

- 1oz Fresh Lime Juice

Method:

Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice cubes. Shake well. Strain in chilled cocktail glass.

For an herbaceous daiquiri

Add a few tablespoons of chopped fresh herbs to your shaker. Our fave? Mint!

Make it a Hemingway daiquiri

The La Floradita bar in Cuba invented this daiquiri just for the famed writer. Add 1/4 oz of fresh grapefruit juice and 1/4 oz of Luxardo Maraschino to your shaker and you're in business.

Everyone loves at little strawberry

Be a crowd-pleaser with this one. Muddle 3 strawberries in your shaker before adding other ingredients. Top each cocktail with a sliced strawberry. Make new friends.
