I can assure you that cancer did not make it onto my vision board for 2007, but alas, there I was sitting in the doctor's office being told I had Stage IIIC colorectal cancer after returning home from studying abroad in Madrid. Radiation, chemotherapy, and multiple surgeries required me to drop out of college and move back in with my parents. The doctors frequently reminded me of what I would not be able to do: keep all my organs, graduate from college, have children, and live a 'normal life' (whatever that is). What I was not told was that there was so much more I could do.
The experience of going through menopause at the age of 21 led me to start a sexual wellness company, one that we aptly named: Unbound Babes. So it is only fitting that the most limiting experience in my life allowed me to understand that limits are what others put upon us, not what we have to put upon ourselves -- unless you want to, in which case, set that boundary, baby!
