Tomboy Tuesday: Meet Staff Sergeant Jaime Styer
We LOVE to profile women who are total badasses. When we launched our Next Top Model contest in June, we had a lot of entries from some very cool chicks. One caught our eye that we wanted to profile for #TomboyTuesday. We would like to introduce you to Staff Sergeant Jaime Styer.
Jaime is an Outdoor Education Instructor with Calvin Crest Conferences. She has "the great privilege and opportunity to serve in an amazing place, with a dedicated and talented staff hosting and teaching middle school students in and about this incredible planet we call home." She is thrilled to get paid to live just south of Yosemite National Park (on the western side of the Sierras), which is north of her hometown of Fresno, CA.
Jaime just completed 5 years of active duty service in the United States Air Force. finishing as a Staff Sergeant. Her service time included a tour in Afghanistan.

Her plans now that she's stateside is to pursue a Masters degree in Counseling [with a secondary degree in Adventure Education]. She hopes this will enable her to work in the field of Wilderness Therapy, particularly with young people. She wants to specialize in the healing, empowering, and equipping of young women who've been rescued from human trafficking.
In addition to all of her other pursuits, Jaime also acts as an unofficial advocate and intermediary with her church to "bridge the gap between Christians and the homosexual community, which is a subject I relate to personally, as I strongly identify as both."
Jaime, we thank you for your service and we hail you as a total badass! Thanks for rocking our #TomboyXStyle!
