FRAN DUNAWAY, Co-Founder & CEO
Fran Dunaway has over 20 years experience managing people, systems and budgets. Her work with political candidates is all about creating and maintaining a 'brand' and then communicating that in a manner that builds trust and 'brand' loyalty. With TomboyX, she will use the same skills and techniques but instead of votes, she will be focused on getting them to make favorable purchases. Technically savvy, Fran understands the power of effectively utilizing social media to communicate creative, well-crafted messages across various mediums. Her continued role is that of communicator, decision maker, leader and manager.
NAOMI GONZALEZ, Co-Founder & COO
Naomi has over 13 years of sales and small business experience. She has been the driving force behind Tomboy Exchange, taking an idea and growing it to where we are today. In performing research she realized our target woman was indeed being virtually ignored by traditional fashion. Partnering with Fran in the summer of 2011 the idea for Tomboy Exchange was born. Today, Naomi serves as the liaison for the design and marketing team and continues to provide the impetus that moves Tomboy toward its long term goals.
BARB GAULD, Director of Design & Production
Barb Gauld brings over 20 years of fashion industry experience to the team. She has designed clothing for Tommy Bahama, Eddie Bauer, Cutter & Buck, and May Co. She also designed and produced her own line of organic knitwear, Veritude. Talented and creative, Barb brings a unique sense of style to the TomboyX brand and oversees all creative decisions and designs the company makes.
SARAH BODEN, Advisor
Sarah has held various leadership roles at large public and small startup companies. Most recently she was CEO at Earth Class Mail, the industry leader in online mail management. In her spare time she hold Board positions at the Seattle Girls School, UW Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. She is an avid cyclist, world traveler and mother of Madeline Boden.
VIVIAN MILLER-RAHL, Consultant
Vivian Miller-Rahl is a consultant in our Merchandising and Operations department. With over 30 years of experience in merchandising, production, product development, customer service and retail management she brings a unique level of expertise that spans the life-cycle of the product phase from conception to consumer. She has also been a part of the Seattle sportswear companies Tommy Bahama, Britannia, Union Bay and Born Sportswear.
